I live by the beach on the Kapiti coast in New Zealand, where I create my textile art from my sunny studio.
Art has been such a positive influence in my life. When I fell ill in my 20s and was unable to work, it gave me a new focus and became a creative outlet that helped inspire my recovery. Since then I’ve been passionate about designing and producing work that brings vibrancy and happiness to people’s homes.
My work is all about texture, colour and design. Using cotton or wool carefully handstitched onto canvas, I create delicate, precise pieces that are clean, fresh and contemporary. Colour is so important to me, and my compositions range from bright and bold to soft and muted. When a piece is right it ‘sings’ – there’s really no other way to describe it!
All pieces are hand stitched, and each one is unique. I hope you’ll find one that brings a little piece of happiness to your home.
